Specialty Group TripsFor groups who don't want the 'cookie-cutter' set itineraries offered by large companies, we welcome you. Let us introduce you to the extraordinary ecosystems, rare wildlife and UNESCO World Heritage sites that await in our back yard, on your terms.
Experts in the Field.
For specialty groups, we employ a diverse group of guides and field experts. These naturalists, birders, ethnobiologists, marine biologists, authors, scientists and indigenous guides are chosen for their knowledge, resourcefulness and flexibility.
For example, for the recent solar eclipse event, we had our "star" Nobel Laureate Dr. Brian Schmidt speak exclusively to our guests and then walk them through the eclipse event itself. Dr. Brian Schmidt is a celebrated astronomer and astrophysicist. He won the 2011 Nobel Prize in physics--for observations which led to the discovery of the accelerating universe.
Our experts' approach is distinctly Australian: casual, direct, and spiced with humour. They are just as comfortable "in the bush" as they are having cocktails, mixing on-site lectures with informal chats over dinner.
Eco-friendly creature comforts.
Luxury mountain tree houses with fireplaces and spa baths. A champagne cruise and locally-sourced seafood dinners. Sunrise yoga classes, sparkling swimming pools, and fine dining al fresco are just some of the things you can expect when you travel with Small World Journeys. Just because we travel responsibly doesn’t mean you have to give up comfort.
